Alexander Price is an accomplished Environmental Consultant and project manager specialising in sustainable solutions for complex challenges in the Energy and Sustainability sector. With a Geography degree and extensive experience, he excels in bridging environmental priorities with practical goals across construction management, sustainability consulting, and interdisciplinary leadership.
At Aval Consulting Group, he has led groundbreaking initiatives, including designing a university building with integrated renewable energy that cut projected energy use by 90%. Committed to environmental stewardship, he optimises construction logistics and champions eco-conscious urban planning.
Outside work, Alexander competes in Ironman events, runs marathons for charity, and finds inspiration in travel and community-driven sustainability projects

Jade Mills

Jade Mills (MAAT)
Jade started her professional journey at 17 as an apprentice in an accountancy practice. Building on that foundation, she pursued a career in accounting and concurrently studied with the AAT. She became fully qualified in May 2019. After 10 years of working in practice, she decided to join the team at aval consulting group as she was drawn to this role due the companies’ commendable values and overall ethos, finding alignment with her own personal values and the principles upheld by Aval consulting group

Pratheek Ramesh

Pratheek Ramesh MSc, BEng (Hons.), AMIOA, AMIMechE
Pratheek Ramesh has more than 5 years of experience of working and managing on a wide variety of projects across multiple disciplines such as Noise, Flood Risk and Drainage, Air Quality and Ecology.
Pratheek’s capabilities have allowed for Aval to cater for client’s needs and with Pratheek’s educational background in Mechanical Engineering and Noise as well as industrial experience in other disciplines such as Ecology and Flood Risk and Drainage, he has created cost-effective yet sustainable designs which exceed the expectations of clients and local authorities alike. From working with councils directly on SuDS Drainage Designs for homes and schools, to producing technical acoustic reports for various residential and commercial developments, Pratheek is in full commitment in ensuring the world is a better place with the ever-changing external conditions. Pratheek is also fluent with a wide variety of softwares such as AutoCAD, Inventor, Causeway Flow and MATLAB.

David Leung
Environmental Consultant
David Leung MEng (Hons), AIMechE, CCBAM, CCENM
David Leung is an accomplished Environmental Consultant with an Integrated Master’s in Mechanical Engineering. He specialises in noise assessments, environmental surveys, and is currently expanding his expertise in flood risk and drainage management. With extensive experience, David excels at working in multiple-disciplines across Aval Consulting Group.
At Aval Consulting Group, he has successfully managed projects that balance environmental stewardship with construction and urban planning needs. His commitment to sustainable development is evident in his innovative approaches and effective project management.
Outside of work, David enjoys traveling and staying active at the gym, finding inspiration in exploring new places and maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

Ganesh Thapa
Head of Structural Engineering
Ganesh Thapa BEng (Hons.), MSc, CEng, MICE
Ganesh has 33 years of design and site experience gained from UK’s leading consultants namely WSP, Atkins, TSP and a National Contractor, Shepherd Construciton Ltd (now Wates). He has a proven track record for delivering projects upwards of £200m. His experience covers multiple serctors such as mixed use development, industrial, sports, education, residential, hotels, laboratories, offices, hospitals, fire stations etc.
He is a Chartered Engineer and has co-lectured in an IStructE Chartered Member Exam Prep course at Yorkshire Branch for 15 years.
Alongside the managerial skills, he has maintained his technical skills and is hands on with design and drawing tools such as , Tekla Structural Designer, Etabs, Safe, AutoCAD and Revit.

With 20 years of experience in design and project development in automobile engineering and environmental sectors, Jay serves as the Principal Consultant at Aval, spearheading the Mechanical and Electrical division. With expertise in lighting design and impact assessments, he also oversees ISOMS implementation within the company.
Jay joined the company in 2020, bringing a wealth of knowledge and experience to the team. Holding a bachelor’s degree in technology (Hons), and membership in ILP, his educational background complements his role as a Principal Consultant.
His dedication and expertise have been instrumental in the successful completion of numerous projects. With a track record of delivering 100s of projects on time, Jay’s contributions have played a pivotal role in Aval’s growth and success.
Outside of work, Jay finds solace in various hobbies and interests. He enjoys delving into ancient literatures, finding inspiration in their timeless wisdom. Meditation also forms an integral part of his routine, fostering personal growth and well-being. Additionally, he is passionate about natural living and provides guidance on leading a holistic lifestyle.

Ecology and Biodiversity
Evan Browne BSc, MSc
Evan is a fresh face in the ecology world, joining Aval in March 2024 as an Environmental Consultant. In her time with the company, she has worked on a multitude of projects specialising in biodiversity management and enhancement measures. Her background in Marine Biology and Ecology & Conservation allows her to excel on the ecology team.
Evan has hailed from the United States, earning honours of Cum Laude at her undergraduate university. She travelled over to the UK to expand and deepen her education in studies of conservation and ecology. Since her time in the ecology field, she has begun to pursue certifications to further strengthen her knowledge and understanding.
Outside of work, Evan enjoys dedicating her time to athletics, literature, and arts. She sets goals for herself for personal growth and strength in the body and mind.

Louise Smith
Managing Consultant, Transport Planning
Louise Smith BSc (Hons.), MSc, CEng, MTPS
Louise Smith leads our Transport Planning team. Louise has twenty years’ experience in transport planning/traffic engineering and project management for both the public and private sectors preparing Transport Assessments, Travel Plans, Construction Logistics Plans, Delivery & Servicing Plans, Accessibility Analysis, Masterplanning & Regeneration, Traffic Engineering, Transport Modelling and Parking Surveys for a number of clients across the UK.
With a strong understanding of the UK planning processes, particularly that of London, Louise can help developments achieve planning consent through the production of quality transport reports and assessments. She can also provide transport advice and solutions for proposed new developments where required.
Louise has also participated in stakeholder engagement and Planning Appeals and demonstrated effective communication skills within both the public and private sectors. Louise is skilled in using transport modelling tools in the Junctions 10 Software, including Arcady, Picady, Linsig and Transyt. She is also skilled in using AutoCAD to undertake vehicle swept path analysis, TEMPRO growth software and trip generation package TRICS.
Outside of work, Louise keeps busy with her two children and looking after their family pets. She enjoys the outdoors which includes camping, woodland walks and swimming in the sea.

Matthew has 10 years of design and site experience gained from some of the UK’s leading consultants in various sectors. He has a depth of experience in a variety of sectors, in complex sites, deep basements and towers as tall as 55 storeys; as well as in retrofit and refurbishments. He has delivered projects with values less than £500k, up to £200m.
He is a Chartered Engineer, passing his chartership exam on the first attempt only 4 years after graduating a top level university with a masters degree in Civil Engineering.
He has a keen and active interest in sustainability and embodied carbon He has strong technical knowledge in concrete, steel and timber, as well as BIM and use of design and drawing software.

Shresht is an invaluable member of our team who wears multiple hats. As an Analyst Programmer, he has not only contributed significantly to our IT endeavours but has also delved into the world of Environmental Consulting, making a mark in Air Quality (AQ), Odour assessments, and recently venturing into Health Impact Assessments.

He joined Aval Consulting Group in February 2020 as an Information Technology Analyst and later took on the role of Analyst Programmer. Holding a BSc (Hons) in Computer Science with Artificial Intelligence from Northumbria University – July 2023, his expertise lies in the realm of Artificial Intelligence.
Beyond his profession, Shresht’s passion for music, philosophical literature, and mobile application development (particularly iOS) showcases his diverse interests. An avid participant in Software Developer conferences like Apple’s WWDC, Google I/O, and Microsoft Ignite, Shresht is committed to staying at the forefront of technical news and innovations, constantly honing his skills.

Specialising in roads, earthwork modelling, drainage, flood risk, and water management, he has worked on both small- and large-scale projects, delivering efficient and sustainable infrastructure solutions.
Outside of work, Wade is highly active and enjoys playing sports, spending time outdoors, traveling, and learning new languages.
